EFT

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful tool for promoting emotional healing. The tapping technique allows you to release negative emotions and achieve greater emotional freedom.

EFT is a simple yet profound tool to help you clear patterns of stress and negativity in your emotional and physical systems. The sessions are designed to be empowering and enlightening. By incorporating the healing power of nature and the great outdoors into the sessions, the aim is to create a space that promotes self-discovery, awareness and healing. By immersing oneself on a short nature walk and using EFT, a greater sense of connection can be made with the mind/body and the natural surroundings.

EFT Tapping helps to release fear, pain, and limiting beliefs that place impediments to living a health life.

The EFT tapping sequence is the methodic tapping on the ends of nine meridian points.

There are 12 major meridians that mirror each side of the body and correspond to an internal organ. However, EFT mainly focuses on these nine:

  •  side of hand, sometimes referred to as “karate chop” (KC): small intestine meridian

  •  top of head (TH): governing vessel

  •  eyebrow (EB): bladder meridian

  •  side of the eye (SE): gallbladder meridian

  •  under the eye (UE): stomach meridian

  •  under the nose (UN): governing vessel

  •  chin (Ch): central vessel

  •  beginning of the collarbone (CB): kidney meridian

  •  under the arm (UA): spleen meridian

Begin by tapping the side of hand point while simultaneously reciting your setup phrase three times. Then, tap each following point seven times, moving down the body in this ascending order:

  •  eyebrow

  •  side of the eye

  •  under the eye

  •  under the nose

  •  chin

  •  beginning of the collarbone

  •  under the arm

  • after tapping the underarm point, finish the sequence at the top of the head point.

  • It’s so simple that you can learn to do tapping in a few minutes.

  • You don’t need to lie down or close your eyes.

  • Tapping can be done anywhere or anytime you feel stressed or anxious — at your desk, in your car, or even during a quick bathroom break.

  • It’s an extremely flexible technique that is easily customized for your unique situation. You can even use tapping to address more than one issue at a time.

  • Tapping can be helpful regardless of the underlying cause of your anxiety or the kind of anxiety disorder you have.

  • Improvement is often rapid. Even persistent issues can sometimes be cleared in just a few tapping sessions. Treatment time frames range from one session for phobias to six sessions for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

  • Success rates are high. According to EFT founder Gary Craig, tapping can bring complete or partial relief in about 80% of cases and relief is often permanent. Working with a certified EFT practitioner increases the success rate to 95%.

  • Tapping has no known negative side effects.
